Problem

The problem arrived for people who are busy doing 9-5 jobs and they don’t often have time to finish home chores on time. Often time they have to relay on any long weekend or any holiday to finish such a task. 

Solution

Ushering in a new & revolutionary style of home services by creating and fostering a peer to peer marketplace where clients will experience tailor made, secure and cost effective transections, overtime with the help of a mobile app.

Exploration

Since Chore rocket was a startup we had a small team to work with, I started my exploration by understanding real challenges and User. Most of our User were working professionals or people who always hunt for a new side gig to fulfil their financial goals. The first step was to come up with a research plan. I started my Phase one with exploratory interviews.

Findings

We learnt that at the moment if a user has to find labour or expertise for their home task, they have to look into platforms like Kijiji or Facebook groups which were quite challenges for them. One of the biggest hurdles was how they could keep track of quality control for their task. As well as payment handling was another issue for them. They need a centralized platform where they can keep track fo their chore task and get things done in a highly satisfactory way.

Why A mobile App?

The mobile app was perhaps one of the primary touch-points of the platform. It enables a user to book a task on the go and its easy to use in the context of integrating with social media as well as desire payment system. Since the app was also using geo-location-based data, Mobile apps tend to use GPS in a intuitive way.
